Greetings fellow LEGO enthusiasts! My name is Fabio Fiss, and I’ve been captivated by the colorful world of LEGO since I was a mere 4 years old. Hailing originally from the vibrant land of Brazil, my fascination with these interlocking bricks has been an enduring part of my life’s journey.
My writing journey began back in 2007 when I decided to share my love for LEGO by starting a blog, called Brick Brasil. Through that previous platform, I delved into the intricate details of building, reviewing sets, and exploring the endless creativity these bricks offer. However, life took its course, and my blogging adventures took a backseat for a while. But here I am once again, reigniting the passion for writing about LEGO and reconnecting with the incredible community that I’ve always felt a part of.
LEGO Contest
One of the pivotal moments in my LEGO journey occurred in 1997 when I participated in a contest held by LEGO in Brazil. The challenge was to create a unique LEGO scene, and I poured my heart and soul into constructing a stunning depiction of the Christ the Redeemer statue alongside the iconic cable car to the Sugar Loaf in Rio de Janeiro. To my absolute delight, I emerged victorious! The grand prize was a dream trip – an unforgettable visit to LEGOLAND in Billund, Denmark. That experience remains etched in my memory as a testament to my passion for these bricks.
Throughout the years, I’ve lightly immersed myself in the LEGO community, participating in conferences, events, and engaging online with fellow enthusiasts. Each interaction and exchange of ideas with like-minded individuals has only fueled my passion further.
Today, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Brick Legions, a new endeavor aimed at contributing to the LEGO community. Through this platform, I aspire to shine a light on the incredible people within this community whom I deeply admire, while continuing to be an integral part of this larger world of LEGO enthusiasts.
